Floortime Therapy

Floortime therapy is the focus of all occupational therapy and speech therapy sessions. Floortime is child-led and play based. Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationships (DIR) is the philosophy behind Floortime therapy. Our therapists will build a trusting relationship with your child. We carefully acknowledge the individual differences in every individual and work from the bottom-up to build the foundation of each Functional Emotional Developmental Capacity (FEDCs) in your child’s profile. It may look like it’s just play, but our therapists are carefully considering every step in each session.

Floortime sessions can be offered in both English and Spanish.

Sensory Integration

Occupational Therapy- Sensory Integration runs 50 minutes. OT-SI is both a neurological process and frame of reference that occupational therapists use when treating children. It seeks to help children integrate their nervous system more efficiently so that they can learn and participate more effectively. When working in this frame of reference, a therapist help provide the child with the input their nervous system needs in order to have an “adaptive response” so they are successful in whatever they were trying to accomplish!

Sensory Integration Therapy is available in both English and Spanish.

  • Motor planning

  • Behavioral responses to sensory input so children can engage in everyday activities
